Sara & Jason
Knowlton Mansion Wedding

If there was one wedding I was counting down the days for, it was this one. Because my heart and soul are completely invested in these guys, in their families, their daughter, their story. I have known Sara for 5 years now, way back when the Sarvey sisters and I all worked at the same restaurant, way before Jason came in and changed their family for the better. I remember hearing about him for the first time about two years ago, wondering if he would measure up and be the man I knew my friend needed and deserved. Turns out, Sara’s prince charming did exist, and he came in the form of a fun loving curly-haired coworker who loves the Phillies and a good PB&J. He proposed in her mother’s garden, they worked together to turn a fixer-upper into their dream countryside homestead, said their vows in the church of his childhood and danced the night away in a stone mansion in Northeast Philadelphia, the exact same venue that I did the same on my own wedding night just shy of a year ago. Long story short, this wedding was an emotional train wreck for me. But even with a hysterical photographer, a torrential downpour, and a quick name change thanks to the priest, Sara and Jason hopped between the raindrops in some killer red Hunter boots, got some cake in their hair, and lit up a couple of celebratory cigars. Please enjoy this exceptionally long blog post, I really just couldn’t help myself.
